Bhubaneswar: Bollywood actor Sonu Sood, who is playing a pivotal role in sending migrants to their native places, have also helped Odia women migrants.
As per reports, as many as 170 young women from Odisha stranded in Kerala will reach Odisha in a special flight.
Reportedly, amid the nationwide lockdown, around 170 Odia girls working in Ernakulam district of Kerala have been trying to return to their homes in Odisha for last several weeks.
Eventually, their plight was tweeted by Dhanya Rajendran stating the girls’ desire to quit their jobs and leave Ernakulam. Following this,
a senior IPS officer of Odisha discussed the matter with him.
Initially, it was decided to bring back the 170 Odia young women by bus or train from Ernakulam. But Sood proposed to send them in a special plane.
