Odisha Vigilance has unearthed a massive cache of assets linked to Sanjay Kumar Kispatta, Executive Engineer of Odisha Construction Corporation Ltd. (OCC), currently deputed to the Lower Suktel Project in Balangir.
During ongoing searches, officials discovered a four‑storeyed commercial lodge with 23 rooms spread over 8,000 sq. ft. in Koraput town, an under‑construction residential house, and eight high‑value plots spread across Koraput, Rourkela, and Bhubaneswar. The raids also led to the seizure of an Innova Crysta car, a two‑wheeler, and gold jewellery whose weighment is underway. Deposits and investments in financial instruments are being verified by the Vigilance Technical Wing.
Kispatta, born on October 11, 1986, joined government service in 2011 as an Assistant Engineer under the Water Resources Department at Narayanpatna Block, Koraput, on a consolidated salary of Rs 9,300. He was regularised in 2016 and later served as Assistant Executive Engineer in Potangi Block and ITDA Koraput. On March 6, 2026, he was promoted to Executive Engineer and posted at OCC Ltd., Bhubaneswar, before being deputed to Balangir. He has spent nearly 15 years serving in Koraput district.
The Vigilance Department continues its searches, with valuation of properties and financial assets underway. Officials described the recovery as a significant step in cracking down on disproportionate assets among government officers.
