Cuttack: Elections for six posts of Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) are likely to be completed by October 20, informed OCA working committee chairman today.
This was decided in a meeting of OCA council here today following the recommendations of the Lodha Committee.
OCA working committee chairman Dhiren Palai informed that the council is ready to conduct elections for six posts including the president, vice-president, secretary, joint secretary, treasurer and one council member.
According to reports, all affiliated members of OCA will submit the names of their authorised representatives to the office of the Electoral Officer at Odisha Cricket Association, Barabati Stadium, Cuttack through e-mail: email@example.com on 12th September 2019.
The elections were necessitated following the resignation of Ranjib Biswal and Asirbad Behera as OCA president and secretary respectively, Palai added.
Notably, the Committee of Administrator (CoA) of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has asked all the state cricket associations to complete elections by September 14.
