Nuapada DSP caught taking bribe
Nuapada: Vigilance sleuths on Tuesday caught Nuapada Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) while accepting a bribe of Rs 5000 to settle a case.
The accused police officer has been identified as Rabindra Sethi, currently posted as Nuapada Deputy SP.
Acting on the allegation against the accused officer, the anti-corruption wing laid a trap and caught the officer red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 5000. As per sources, Sethi had demanded gratification from a person for settlement of a case.
Besides, the officials have also launched simultaneous raids at Sethi’s parental residence at Kujang in Jagatsingpur district and his government quarter and office in Nuapada.
A case has been registered against the accused officer under relevant Sections of the IPC.
