Novak Djokovic beats Rafael Nadal to clinch Australian Open title

Melbourne: World no.1 Novak Djokovic outclassed Rafael Nadal to clinch the Australian Open title for the seventh-time in Melbourne Park on Sunday.

Djokovic defeated Nadal with 6-3, 6-2, 6-3 scoreline in two hours and four minutes in the final clash.

Djokovic clinched his 15th Grand Slam title, While World No.2 Rafael Nadal for the first time lost a Grand Slam final in straight sets.

While the Spaniard looked out of touch from the onset of the match, the World No.1 Djokovic dominated the play and did not make many errors.

Djokovic completely outplayed Nadal and broke him twice in the second and third sets to eventually take the title.
