Guwahati: Notorious drug dealer from Balasore, Azad Parvez has been arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) from Guwahati.
He will be quizzed by a team of STF Crime Branch in Guwahati jail.
On specific information, a team of NCB sleuths picked up Parvez Khan from his hideout.
Khan, a notorious drugs supplier, has several cases pending against him under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
The first case of drug-trafficking was unearthed in 2001 with the arrest of kingpin Azad Parvez from Balasore.
Intelligence reports say brown sugar and heroin come mainly from Nepal, Bhutan, Assam, Meghalaya and Manipur. Ganja is supplied from the hinterland of Malkangiri, Koraput, Phulbani, Boudh, Sambalpur and Angul.
