Deogarh: As many as 68 students of science stream of Deogarh College on Tuesday walked out the examination hall after being denied the use of unfair means during the examination.
According to sources, the authorities of the college have arranged the examination hall on the top floor of the college building, which is under CCTV surveillance.
However, the students, including 44 boys and 24 girls, walked out of the hall and sit on the corridor of the building and demanded the authorities to allow them for malpractice. They continued to protest even after the instructions of the examination invigilators.
On the other hand, the college authorities have alerted the Deogarh Collector and SP regarding the matter, following which the officials reached the college and seized the answer sheets, questions papers and examination admission cards from the students.
Later, the college principal held a meeting with the teaching staff of the institute and informed that the answer sheets of the students were seized. The remaining examinations will also be held under the surveillance of CCTV, the principal informed.
Worth mentioning here that a total of 127 students of the college appeared for the examination today of which 68 walked out the examination hall due to CCTV surveillance inside the classroom.
