Nor’wester to bring temperatures down in several Odisha districts

Bhubaneswar: The people in several parts of Odisha on Sunday got much-needed relief from scorching heatwave conditions due to overcast conditions and strong breeze.

However, the humidity level was quite high.The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a fall in the maximum temperature (day temperature) as several parts of the State are likely to experience Nor’westers.

Day-1 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 02.05.2022up to 0830 hrs IST of 03.05.2022)

Yellow Warning( Be updated): Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Nawarangpur, Rayagada, Ganjam, Gajapati, Koraput.

Day-2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 03.05.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 04.05.2022)

Yellow Warning( Be updated): Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Nawarangpur, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Angul, Dhenkanal, Malkangiri, Kandhamal.

Day-3 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 04.05.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 05.05.2022)

Yellow Warning( Be updated): Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Khurda, Puri, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sundargarh, Angul, Boudh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi and Nabarangpur.
