Northeast Delhi limping back to normalcy after riots

New Delhi: Northeast Delhi is peaceful on Saturday morning as situation is limping back to normalcy, according to latest reports.

The residents are slowly coming to terms with the damage in communal riots in the area.

The security personnel were conducting flag marches and holding regular consultations with locals to assuage their fears, reports said and added that they are urging residents to not pay attention to rumours on social media.

Sources said the Delhi government is considering to issue a WhatsApp number on which people can complain about hate messages being circulated on the instant messaging app. The move is aimed at dealing with rumours on social media, sources added.
