Bhubaneswar: While the train services from Bhubaneswar resumed today, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) has cancelled all services to Puri till May 10.
As the severe cyclonic storm, FANI caused extensive damage to the railway tracks including Puri, Khurda and Bhubaneswar road, the train services to Puri will resume after the restoration of damaged tracks.
Notably, the Railways has started nine special trains between Bhubaneswar and other cities like Jagdalpur, Durg and Sambalpur from Saturday evening.
The ECoR also informed that Prashanti Express, Visakha Express, Rajdhani Express, Konark Express, and Hirakhand express which originate from Bhubaneswar will run from today including 14 passenger train services.
However, only two trains–Bhubaneswar-Tirupati Express and Visakhapatnam Intercity Express will not run normally because of the non-availability of a pairing train.
