Mumbai: State-run oil marketing companies on Wednesday chose not to change the retail prices of petrol and diesel across major cities of the country.
In national capital Delhi, a litre of petrol today costs Rs 74.63 while diesel costs Rs 66.99 per litre, no change compared with Tuesday’s price.
The retail prices of petrol and diesel are the cheapest Delhi among all metros and most state capitals due to lower taxes. On Tuesday, the price of diesel went up by 15-16 paise for the seventh successive day while petrol rates were stable across the country. So far this month, the price of diesel rose by Rs 1.21 while the rate of petrol declined by 28 paise.
