Balasore: Vigilance sleuths on Thursday arrested Nilagiri CDPO supervisor for allegedly demanding and accepting Rs 10,000 bribe.
The arrested supervisor has been identified as Subarna Singh.
According to reports, Subarna had demanded Rs 10,000 from victim, Sitaram Dehuri, for providing a job at an Anganwadi centre under Naranpur panchayat in Nilagiri block of Balasore district.
Following this, Sitaram approached the anti-corruption wing and lodged a complaint. Based on the plaint, a team was formed under the direction of Vigilance SP Santosh Mishra.
A trap was laid and the accused supervisor was apprehended while accepting the gratification.
