Night Temperatures Drop In Odisha, Mercury Plummets To Below 15 Degrees In 17 Cities

Bhubaneswar: Cold wave is gradually tightening its grip in Odisha as the mercury level dipped below 15 degree Celsius in 17 cities across the State in the last 24 hours, informed Regional Centre of the IMD.

The night temperature dropped to 8.8 degree Celsius in Phulbani, making it the coldest place in the State. Similarly, cold wave conditions also prevailed in other interior districts of Odisha.

As per reports, the minimum temperature plummeted to 8.8 degrees in Phulbani, followed by Sonepur with 9 degree C, Daringbadi and Bhawanipatna with 10 degree C, Angul with 11 degree C, Talcher with 12.3 degree C, Keonjhar and Jharsuguda with 12.8 degree Celsius.

Koraput recorded a temperature of 13 degree Celsius, followed by Baripada with 13.5 degree, Sundargarh and Balangir with 14 degree, Hirakud with 14.3 degree, Sambalpur with 14.4 degree, Boudh, Cuttack and Titilagarh with 14.5 degree Celsius.
