Newborn boy rescued by locals in Sonepur
Sonepur: An abandoned newborn baby boy was rescued by locals near a playground in Kukia village under Ulunda block in Sonepur district on Friday.
According to sources, one Ranjan Bagarti of the village had gone to attend nature’s call this morning when he heard the cry of the newborn. He immediately rescued the newborn and informed the matter to the village ASHA worker.
Later, the newborn was admitted to Ulunda hospital. Reportedly, the health condition of the newborn is stated to be stable now. The child will be handed over to the Child Care Unit, sources added.
