Newborn baby recovered from train toilet in Amritsar
Chandigarh: A newborn baby who was mercilessly flushed down the toilet of a train in Amritsar was recovered by railway staff.
The baby boy is miraculously survived the fall and being treated at the Amritsar Civil Hospital on Sunday, officials said.
The baby was recovered from the Amritsar-Howrah Express train by sweepers when the train stopped for cleaning.
The matter is being investigated by GRP and authorities in Amritsar. CCTV footages at railway stations were being examined to ascertain who was behind the act.
According to the sweepers, a ‘dupatta’ (traditional scarf ) was found tied around the neck of the infant prompting speculations that it was an act of strangulation.
