Negligence in providing dues of COVID Warriors will not be tolerated, says Naveen


Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik through a video conference said his government will not tolerate the slightest negligence to provide the dues of COVID Warriors and urged the officials concerned to be utmost careful in this regard.

The Odisha Chief Minister said the number of COVID recoveries will cross 25000 tomorrow and added that the officials must ensure that quality treatment is being provided at COVID Care homes and COVID hospitals in the state.

He said there are a lot of misconceptions in the minds of people on quarantine and added that the official machinery must put due emphasis on IEC to dispel the myths in this regard.

Patnaik said the district collectors have been directed to streamline ambulance services in the state and added that till date 103 units of plasma has been collected. As many as 58 persons have been treated with plasma therapy and 11 persons have returned home safely after being treated.

The Odisha Chief Minister said 99 per cent of survey work relating to coronavirus has been completed. The additional chief secretary will visit Ganjam tomorrow to take stock of the situation. The Chief Minister had a discussion with observers in different districts on the issue.

A silent prayer will be observed in memory of COVID Warriors on Wednesday. This will be followed by oath taking programme to fight Corona effectively.
