Bhubaneswar: In the wake of extremely severe cyclonic storm FANI that hit Odisha on Friday, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2019 exam has been postponed in the state.
The exam was scheduled to be held on May 5 (today).
The HRD Ministry made the announcement on Saturday following a request from the Odisha administration in view of the rehabilitation work underway in the state.
HRD Secretary R Subramanyam also informed about the same through his Twitter handle. The new dates for the exam in Odisha will be announced soon, he added.

Candidates appearing for NEET 2019 examination are advised to download the revised NEET 2019 admit card. The revised admit card will carry details of the 2019 NEET exam centers or venue, address and the code.
Odisha has seven NEET exam centers for the year 2019. The NEET 2019 examination centers – Angul (3601), Balasore/Baleswar (3602), Behrampur (3603), Bhubaneshwar 3604, Cuttack (3605), Rourkela (3606), Sambalpur (3607).
Notably, the extremely severe cyclonic storm FANI, which made landfall at Puri on Friday, unleashed copious rain and windstorm that gusted up to 200 kmph.
