Nearly 9,000 Landless Persons Identified In 14 Districts: Minister

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Revenue & Disaster Management Minister Pramila Mallik on Thursday informed the Assembly that there are a total of 8,947 identified landless persons in 14 districts of the state,

In a written reply to a question from BJP member Nauri Nayak in the State Assembly today, Mallik said that necessary steps are being taken to soon provide land to all the remaining eligible landless persons in the State.

As per the data shared by the Minister in her written reply out of the 8,947 identified landless persons, the maximum number–of 3299 are from Balasore district followed by 1,267 from Bargarh district.
