Bhubaneswar: The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has constituted a committee which would prepare learning and teaching materials for Kui and Desia language-speaking Kandha students in Koraput, Gajapati, Malkangiri and Kandhamal districts of Odisha.
The 10-member committee would suggest and formulate language material for Kui and Desia-speaking students and people of these districts.
Prof. B K Panda, Project Director, Center of Excellence for Studies in Classical Odia, Bhubaneswar, has been appointed Chairperson of the committee. The other members are Prof. Amarendra P Behera, Joint Director, CIET-NCERT, New Delhi; Rudrani Mohanty, Asst Professor, CU, Koraput; Kapil Khemandu, Asst Professor, CU Koraput; Dr. Rajendra Padhi; Dr. Gopabandhu Mohanty, Dr. Subrat Prusty, Dr. Mahendra Mishra, Dileshwar Rama, Prof. Prakash Chandra Agrawal, Principal, RIE, Bhubaneswar. Prof. Agrawal is also the convener of the committee.
The committee will work in collaboration with the Central University of Odisha in Koraput and develop learning-teaching material to facilitate the learning process of the Kui and Desia-speaking students and people, the notification stated.
