Nayagarh: An elderly man succumbed to his ill-health as he allegedly arrived late at hospital owing to the absence of a motorable road at Kosalanga village under Nuagaon block in Nayagarh district.
Reportedly, the elderly man, identified as (65), complained of illness yesterday following which, his family members contacted a 108 Ambulance.
However, the ambulance driver showcased disability to reach the pick-up spot due to poor road conditions.
Finding no other alternatives, the family members with the help of villagers carried Kantha for 2km on a cot till the spot where the emergency vehicle was parked.
He was then he was rushed to Nayagarh District Headquarters Hospital (DHH). However, he died while undergoing treatment in the hospital.
