Mumbai: Amid the global crisis due to COVID-19, the Odisha government has waived the rental due of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, which has been using the Odisha Bhavan as a quarantine centre since April 2020.

While the due rent amounted over Rs 2 crore (Rs 2,016,000/-), Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik directed that no rent will be collected from the place, henceforth, showing his humanitarian side.

Odisha has been supplying oxygen to Maharashtra for the past few days on an urgent basis for the treatment of critically ill patients.
