Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday sanctioned Rs 37.79 crore under Ama Gaon Ama Bikash Yojana at the block level.
Naveen sanctioned the amount for 1,644 projects for 177 panchayats in seven blocks of six districts after interacting with the block representatives through video bridge at the State Secretariat here.
Of the sanctioned amount, Rs 4.50 crore has been approved for 110 projects in 18 panchayats of Chhatrapur block in Ganjam district while Rs 7.50 crore for 391 projects in 33 panchayats of Athagarh block in Cuttack district.
Similarly, Rs 5.70 crore has been earmarked for 356 projects in 34 panchayats of Junagarh block in Kalahandi district and Rs 3.51 crore for 199 projects in 21 panchayats of Simulia block in Balasore district.
Besides, the Chief Minister sanctioned Rs 3.75 crore for 125 projects in 17 panchayats of Lephripada block in Sundargarh district while Rs 5.35 crore for 161 projects in 24 panchayats of Athamallick block in Angul district and Rs 7.48 crore for 302 projects in 30 panchayats of Chhendipada block in Angul district.
The Chief Minister advised the people and the block representatives to ensure quality work and timely completion of the projects.
