Bargarh: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated three projects and laid foundation stone of other projects during his one-day visit to Western Odisha on Tuesday.
Patnaik inaugurated projects worth Rs 70 crore and laid foundation stones for 22 projects costing Rs 60 crore.
The Odisha CM first visited Bargarh district where he inaugurated a seven-storey Complex with 300-bed capacity at the district headquarters hospital. He also announced to establish a cancer hospital in the district.
Besides, the CM also inaugurated ICICI’s 150th branch at Bijepur and a Science centre in the district.
Among others Minister Prafulla Mallik, Minister Susanta Singh, Minister Ashok Chandra Panda, Prasanna Acharya were present.
Later, the CM visited Maa Samaleswari Temple and Hirakud in Sambalpur district.
Addressing the media after the visit, Naveen said steps will be taken for the development of the shrine and other amenities for devotees based on a detailed report by an expert team. He also stressed on development of tourism at Hirakud.
