Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday launched a single emergency helpline number ‘112’ to provide all kind of assistance by the police to the public.
In view of the convenience of the public and the provision of expedited services, various assistance numbers from the government, such as 100, 101, 102, 104, 108, 181, and 1098, have been consolidated into one number, 112.
Henceforth, immediate assistance services from police (100), fire (101), health (108) & rest can be reached by dialing Single Emergency Helpline Number 112.

In addition to this, 198 Call Taker Executives will be outsourced and 236 vehicles will be deployed for the purpose.
