Naveen congratulates Indian women’s hockey team for victory against Malaysia


Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday congratulated the Indian women’s hockey team for winning their first match against Malaysia in the five-match bi-lateral Series.

The CM congratulated the team for starting their campaign in the tournament with a victory.

Naveen took to Twitter and wrote, “Congratulate Indian Women Hockey Team for starting with a winning note in the five-match bi-lateral series by beating the host Malaysia 3-0.”



The Indian Women’s Hockey Team on Thursday beat hosts Malaysia 3-0 in the opening game of the five-match series.

Striker Vandana Katariya starred for India with a double goal in the 17th and 60th minute while Lalremsiami scored in the 38th minute to help India win comfortably.
