Naveen Celebrates Diwali with Children at Bhubaneswar SOS village

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday evening celebrated Diwali with orphan children of SOS Village on city outskirts.

Naveen visited the SOS Children’s Village, Bhubaneswar, one of the biggest orphanages in the State, and spent quality time with the children.

The chief minister, on this occasion, announced Rs 20 lakh financial assistance to the SOS Village for developmental works.

Besides this, Patnaik also distributed sweets and gifts among children.

Personal Secretary to Chief Minister and Secretary of 5T, VK Pandian visited the sports hostel in the premises of Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar and celebrated Diwali with its inmates.

The chief secretary Asit Tripathy visited the Chetana Institutioin of Special Education, a school for dibyanga children on Sunday evening and celebrated the festival of light with the inmates.

Earlier in the day, Naveen advised senior officials including the Chief Secretary, Development Commissioner, Agriculture Production Commissioner and senior officers of his CMO to visit childcare institutions and celebrate Diwali with the children.
