Bhubaneswar: The National Voters’ Day was observed in the Department Information and Public Relations (I&PR) and Lok Seva Bhawan on Monday.
Director of I&PR Krupasinghu Mishra administered the oath to the employees for exercising their voting rights in a free and fearless manner and uphold their democratic rights during elections. They also took the oath not to be swayed away by temptations during the exercise of their franchise.
The programme was attended by the Joint Secretary Dr Pramod Kumar Mallik, Deputy Secretary Bishnupriya Sahu and senior officials of the department.
The event was also observed in the Lok Seva Bhawan. All the additional chief secretaries, principal secretaries, special and joint secretaries and other officials took the oath to uphold the democratic rights and exercise the voting right in a fearless manner.
