Washington, D.C: The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has unveiled a beautiful picture on its Instagram account of an enormous glacier melting away.
Reportedly, the picture captured by Thomas Pesquet, a French astronaut, from the International Space Station (ISS), is of the Upsala Glacier, the third-largest within the Southern Patagonian Ice field of Argentina and Chile.
The American space agency stated that the glaciers are getting smaller and that is turning into noticeable by astronauts in house in addition to Earth remark satellites that monitor their development for local weather scientists. The image shows the Uppsala glacier suffering a significant retreat due to climate crisis as a large part of it breaks.
“Such observations from the International Space Station, as changes in the Earth’s climate, help provide unique insights to keep our planet safe,” NASA captioned the photo.
