Barang: The Nandankanan Zoological Park here has been temporarily closed for visitors after two wild elephants entered into the zoo late last night.
According to reports, the tuskers entered the zoo on Tuesday night by breaking open the enclosure near Daruthenga. To avoid any untoward incident, the zoo has been temporarily closed for visitors.
While officials of Nandankanan and Chandaka Wildlife Division have been deployed to drive the elephants away from the area, on the other hand, two teams have been formed to keep a close vigil on the movement of the tuskers, said sources.
