My husband falsely implicated in serial killing case, alleges psycho killer’s wife


Nayagarh: Arrested psycho killer Narayan Sahu’s wife, Geetanjali has alleged that her husband has been falsely implicated in the Cuttack serial killing case. She met Nayagarh SP today and demanded justice for her husband.

“Narayan was living in Nayagarh since July 22. For his business he took loans from many people and due to some land dispute, he left the house after developing mental illness. He has been implicated falsely by police,” Gitanjali told the police.

According to the police, the accused had fled from Cuttack after brutally killing three persons. The police identified him on the basis of CCTV camera footage and forensic reports.

Narayan was arrested from Nayagarh district by the Commissionerate Police on Monday. He hails from Odagaon in Nayagarh district.

Notably, the accused allegedly went on a killing spree in the Silver City, sending shockwaves across the state. While the residents in the city were spending sleepless nights fearing attack by the assailant, the police were on their toes to nab him.

The accused person is currently being grilled in police custody and after the complaint lodged by Sahu’s wife, Nayagarh SP has informed to Cuttack DCP for more investigation into the case, sources said.
