Koraput: A woman and her son were electrocuted to death at Jayantgiri village under Borriguma block in Koraput district on Friday.
The deceased have been identified as Duryodhan Amanyata and his mother Rama.
According to reports, Duryodhan was electrocuted while attempting to retrieve his towel from a wire within his residential premises. His mother, Rama, intervened to rescue him and was also electrocuted. Duryodhan’s wife and mother-in-law, who were also impacted by the electric shock, survived the incident.
Rama and Duryodhan were subsequently transported to the District Headquarters Hospital, where they were pronounced dead by the attending physician.
