Mortal remains of matyred Odia jawan reaches native village

Bhubaneswar: The mortal remains of Odia jawan, who was martyred in an IED blast in J&K’s Pulwama district, reached Odisha late last night.

The body of the slain soldier Ajit Kumar Sahoo reached the Biju Patnaik International Airport here through a special flight. The jawan was paid guard of honour after his mortal remains reached the capital city.

Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal also paid his last respect to the jawan at the BPIA.

Besides, ministers cutting across party lines, top officials of the State government and police department also reached the airport and paid homage to the departed soul.

Reportedly, the mortal remains of the martyred soldier reached his native village in Badasuala village in Kamakhyanagar of Dhenkanal district at around 8 am today.
