Bhubaneswar: The vigilance today unearthed more crypto wallets from tainted engineers Nihar Ranjan Das during interrogation.
The total number of crypto wallets reached 88.
Nihar Ranjan Das, Additional Chief Engineer, Planning, Monitoring, Design & Investigation, RWS&S Circle, Bhubaneswar was arrested by Odisha Vigilance and forwarded to court for possession of disproportionate assets.
During further searches, apart from the documents of 38 crypto wallets recovered during his house search, further evidence and details of 50 more crypto wallets have been recovered by contact with various crypto exchanges and during further investigation.

Das brought on remand for two days for further interrogation.He is being questioned by a special investigation team comprising financial experts and technical personnel.
A special team of crypto experts from Mumbai is in Bhubaneswar and assisting Odisha Vigilance in investigating his crypto assets on various platforms. The bank transactions of the engineer and his family members are being investigated, vigilance said.
