Modi inaugurates Western Peripheral Expressway


Gurugram: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated two key projects in Haryana on Monday. The projects will benefit people in the national capital.

Modi in Gurugram inaugurated the Kundli-Manesar section of the KMP Expressway and the Ballabhgarh-Escorts Mujesar section of the Delhi Metro’s Violet Line.

Speaking on the occasion, PM hit out at the erstwhile Congress-led UPA government for inordinate delay in the construction of the projects. Modi said the expressway was due to be completed during the Commonwealth Games in 2010, but it did not materialize.

Expressway will help fight the problem of pollution in Delhi and National Capital Region, Modi said and added it will help the economy and environment as well.
