Mobile water ATM launched in the city


Bhubaneswar: The city got a unique mobile water ATM with advanced purification technology on Tuesday. With around more than 97 million people lacking access to safe drinking water in the country and with the World Bank survey estimating 21 percent of communicable diseases in India caused due to unsafe water, Grundfos in partnership with e-Kutir, have launched the water ATM to provide safe drinking water.Mo

The mobile water purification unit comprising of a pre-treatment unit called AQ Pure (UF & UV based water treatment system) will travel to certain identified rural pockets near the city to treat the surface water, bore well water and further converting it to safe drinking water. The purified water would then be dispensed employing the Grundfos Water ATM (AQ taps) at an affordable price to the rural communities.

Founder and Director of e-Kutir KC Mishra said that their mission is to provide sustainable drinking water solutions to all the communities of the society.

The first of its kind system was inaugurated by the state minister of Law and Panchayati Raj Arun Kumar Sahoo.
