Mobile Phone Thief Held In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Police have arrested a person for allegedly stealing mobile phones in the state capital city, Bhubaneswar.

The accused has been identified as Dinabandhu Sahu alias Bhangua Pintu (32) of Telenga Bazar under Purighat police limits in the Cuttack district.

According to reports, the accused allegedly stole the mobile phones of two workers engaged in furniture making work. Following this, other workers tried to catch Pintu, however, he managed to escape from the spot.

With no option left, the victim duo lodged a complaint with the Jagatpur police station.

Acting on the complaint, police have registered a case (176/22) and launched a probe in this regard. After pertinent efforts, the cops managed to nab the accused and also seized two stolen mobile phones from him.

There are several pending cases against the accused in Cuttack district, police informed.

The accused has been forwarded to the court, police said.
