Bhubaneswar: Mo Bus services have been disrupted due to traffic regulations imposed ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit for the All-India Director-General of Police (DGP) conference, scheduled from November 29 to December 1.
The conference has prompted stringent security measures, affecting various routes in Bhubaneswar, including routes 9, 10, 11, 12, AE1, AE2, 13, 17, 20, 21, 22A, 23, 25, 26, 27, 28, 30, 31, 32, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 44, 46, 47, 64, and 66.
As per reports, to facilitate VVIP movement, traffic restrictions have been imposed on select routes, including Airport Square to PMG Square, Raj Bhavan Square, Rabindra Mandap Square to 120 Battalion Square, and Jaydev Vihar to Nalco Square. Vehicle movement has been restricted on these routes, and special measures have been taken in sensitive areas to maintain law and order.
On the other hand, stringent checking is underway at major intersections and entry points to the city. In collaboration with BSF personnel, vehicles are being thoroughly checked, and patrolling has been intensified across the city by the Commissionerate Police.
It is pertinent to mention that the All-India DGP conference will see top police officials from across the country gather to discuss key security issues. The conference is being held in the capital city from November 29 to December 1.
