MKCG hospital’s head clerk held for taking bribe


Berhampur: A head clerk of the MKCG Medical College and Hospital was arrested on Friday by the vigilance sleuths for allegedly accepting illegal gratification from a person.

The accused clerk has been identified as Nilakantha Sahoo.

According to sources, Mishra had demanded Rs 5,000 from the complainant in order to quickly process the withdrawal of GPF money. Later, the complainant filed a complaint with the vigilance department.

Acting on the complaint, the vigilance officials laid a trap and caught the clerk red-handed while he was accepting the bribe from the complainant.
