The accused persons will be forwarded to the court on Sunday, informed Sambalpur Additional SP Pradipta Kishore Mohapatra.

According to reports, a special team of Dhanupali police apprehended the accused persons from their native place in Bihar where they all confessed to having murdered Arati and buried her body in the forest near Bagadiapada Amburai situated in the rear of City Railway Station.

The accused were brought to Sambalpur and identified the spot where they buried Arati. Following this, the body was exhumed and sent for post-mortem.

It may be mentioned here that Kunal Singh had lodged a complaint with Dhanupali Police on January 3rd stating that his wife, Arati Devi (19), was missing since January 1st. However, Arati’s parents grew suspicious after they failed to contact her in-laws and lodged a murder complaint on January 8.
