Missing Engineering Student’s Body Found Near Rly Tracks In Ganjam
Ganjam: The body of a missing engineering student was found on the railway tracks near Haladiapadar area in Ganjam district on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Hemant Mallick from Rakeshpanka village in Mohana police station limit of Gajapati district. He was pursuing a diploma in civil engineering.
According to reports, Hemant used to work in an eatery in Kanisi under Golanthara area of Berhampur along with his studies since August this year. Due to financial issues, Hemant did not go home after his fourth-semester examination and stayed back at work.
However, the youth went missing on September 11 evening. Following this, his brother Sukanta lodged a complaint with the police on September 13. He also alleged that there was a fight between Hemant and another employee at the eatery before he went missing.
Today, Hemant’s body was found near railway tracks in Haladiapadar area.
Meanwhile, Hemant’s brother Sukanta alleged that his brother was murdered and his body dumped near the railway track to pose it as an act of suicide.
On the basis of the complaint, the police registered a case and initiated an investigation in this regard.
