Bargarh: The mutilated body of a nine-year-old girl, who was missing from last night, was found in forest near Jogendrapur village under Paikamal police station here today.
According to reports, the victim had gone to a nearby shop for grocery but did not return. The family members of the minor launched a search operation but in vain.
However, some locals spotted the body of the minor in the forest this morning.
On being informed, Police reached the spot and and have started an investigation into the case. Meanwhile, tension was reported in the area after the incident came to light.
