Puri: Two regions in Puri town were declared as micro containment zone on Thursday following the resurgence of coronavirus infection.
These areas are Prabhupada Hotel area in Ward No 7 and DAG Colony in Ward No 31 of Puri Municipality. The micro containment zones were declared by the district administration.
The Prabhupada Hotel area was declared as a micro containment zone as several of the hotel’s employees tested positive for coronavirus.
The district administration has banned entry and exit into these areas and all government and private establishments and shops in the area will remain closed till further orders.
Different wings of the administration will provide essential items and monitor the health conditions of the infected persons in the containment zone.
