Patnagarh: Police here have seized a rice-laden truck near Botharol Chhak under Patnagarh PS in Bolangir district on Sunday.
Acting on reliable inputs, police intercepted the vehicle this morning. During the inspection, it came to fore that the documents of the vehicles were invalid. Later, it was learnt that the rice was for the mid-day meal.
According to the paper, the rice was supposed to leave Yugimunda RMC for Khaprakhol. While the investigation into the incident is underway, the owner of the vehicle or the transport agent, Tofan Meher, has not reached the PS till the filing of the last report.
