Mayawati questions Oppn’s ‘impatience’ to visit Valley

Lucknow: The BSP supremo Mayawati has backed Centre over Kashmir and questioned Opposition’s ‘impatience’ to visit Valley amid restrictions.

Mayawati’s reaction has come two days after a delegation of opposition leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, made an unsuccessful attempt to visit Jammu and Kashmir.

She asserted that the Supreme Court’s stand that time should be given to BJP-led NDA government to bring normalcy in the region and it must be maintained.

The BSP supremo said that the visit only provided the opportunity to the ruling coalition to do politics over the issue.

Mayawati tweeted:”It will take some time for the situation to become normal there. It is better to wait a bit, which is also considered by the Honorable Court”.

She also reiterated her support to the abrogation of Article 370 which provided special status to Jammu and Kashmir citing Ambedkar’s philosophy of equality, unity, and integrity of the country.
