Matric question viral: High school teacher, nephew held in Nuapada


Bhubaneswar: A teacher of Korapadar High School in Nuapada district and his nephew were on Sunday arrested in connection with viral of annual high school certificate (HSC) examination question paper.

The teacher, identified as Sarbagyan Supakar, and his nephew had allegedly uploaded the MIL (Odia) question paper on social media from Karangamal High School on the first day of the examination.

Yesterday, Boden police had arrested five teachers in connection with the case following the complaint of Nuapada Block Education Officer (BEO).

The arrested teachers belonging to two high schools were earlier suspended from service following viral of the MIL (Odia) question paper on social media on the first day of the annual examination.

Meanwhile, the district education officer (DEO) of Dhenkanal lodged a complaint at Gondia police station against the examination centre superintendent of Sudarshan Vidyapeeth in connection with the case.

The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), the custodian of the examination, confirmed that 11 staff have been suspended in connection with the case.
