Koraput: In another major development in the Matric Odia question paper viral case, police on Friday have arrested four persons from Bandhugaon in Koraput for their alleged involvement in this case.
According to sources, following an investigation into the case police conducted a raid in the area and apprehended the four accused. During the search, cops also seized laptop, photocopy machine and mobile phones from the accused persons.
While all the accused are in police custody for interrogation, further investigation into the case is underway, sources said.
Earlier yesterday, the court of Judicial Magistrate of First Class (JMFC) in Khadiala had rejected the bail plea of seven examination centre staffs arrested by Boden police for their involvement in Matric Odia question paper viral incident.
It is pertinent to mention that an hour after the commencement of the Matriculation examination across Odisha, question paper of Odia subject surfaced on social media in Nuapada district and Kamakhyanagar of Dhenkanal district.
Board of Secondary Education (BSE) president Jahan Ara Begum had also suspended officials involved in the incident including one official from Koraput (Bandhugaon High School).
