Bhubaneswar: Protests have erupted across various districts of Odisha in response to reports of violence against Hindus in Bangladesh, including allegations of assaults, mass killings, and temple vandalism.
In Jagatsinghpur, the Hindu Suraksha Manch organized a significant awareness march and subsequently submitted a memorandum to the District Magistrate, addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The event attracted a diverse group of saints, social workers, student groups, and social organizations, representing a wide spectrum of society.
Kendrapara witnessed a major rally as well, with numerous monks from different ashrams participating. The protest saw involvement from members of Bajrang Dal, Hindu Suraksha Manch, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, leaders and activists of the BJP, as well as ordinary citizens showing their support.
In Cuttack, the movement intensified with protesters gathering at Choudhury Bazaar Gauri Shankar Park. Led by the district’s Hindu Suraksha Manch, the demonstration drew members from key Hindu organizations such as the RSS, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal, Hindu Sena, and ISKCON.
