Maoist posters urging to boycott polls surface in Malkangiri

Malkangiri: Maoist posters urging the locals to boycott the ensuing elections were spotted at different places in Chitrakonda near Andhra-Odisha border on Sunday.

The posters and banners written in Telugu and Odia language were purportedly issued by the Odisha state committee of the CPI (Maoist). Through the posters, the members of the outlawed outfit have blamed the government for the failure of several projects for the tribals.

The Maoists further appealed to the people not to vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.

Worth mentioning here that similar posters and banners urging the local residents to boycott the ensuing Lok Sabha and Assembly elections were found in areas under Raigarh block in Nabarbagpur district today.
