Nabarangpur/Malkangiri: Maoist posters surfaced in various parts of Odisha including villages in Nabarangpur district and Swabhiman area in Malkangiri district on Thursday.
Through the poster, the outlawed CPI (Maoist) has urged the people to observe the ‘Pratibad Saptah’ (protest week) from January 25 to January 31.
One poster was spotted near Babaei village in Nabarangpur district. The posters were hung on the trees alongside the road connecting Chhattisgarh.
Similarly, posters were found on a hanging bridge near Sarakubandh in Chittrakonda of Malkangiri district.
In the posters here, the outlaw organisation also urged the residents of Nagaland, Manipur, Jammu & Kashmir, and Assam to not discriminate people on the basis of caste, creed and religion.
The posters have been seized and security tightened in these infested-areas to prevent any untoward incident, sources in the police said.
