Malkangiri: Security forces on Friday busted a Maoist hideout in Malkangiri district and seized a huge cache of arms, explosives and other items used by Maoists that were recovered during a combing operation.
Acting on reliable input, the officials on October 19 launched an intensive search and area domination in the general area of Tulsi Reserve forest under Mathili Police Station jurisdiction bordering to Odisha-Chhattisgarh.
The security forces unearthed the Maoist dump near the forest area of Katwapadar village under Kartanpalli gram panchayat and seized a huge amount of six IEDs, two Country made guns, a Multimeter with cords, Electric wire (Flexible), Maoist dresses, Aluminium utensil, Mobile charging cord, Umbrella and other incriminating articles.
